‘Hope’ is an introspective tune from newcomers Balcony. Of the track’s concept they say: “we’re all growing up in a world that feels very scary right now with a lot of tension bubbling beneath the surface. You can feel uneasy and sometimes insignificant, but wanted to write a song that got to the core of those emotions”. The musicianship that the track demonstrates matches its emotionally charged lyricism, while the sense of isolation and vulnerability we get from the lead vocal is balanced by Owen Teale’s (aka Game Of Thrones’ Ser Alliser Thorne) performance in the accompanying music video.
